[Beautiful as Seigi is and generous as your hosts have been, it is hard to forget why you're here again.

Zangyaku is carrying on as per usual, as if your presence doesn't mean anything. It isn't a dismissal, though: it's an acknowledgment of the work that you must do, and that they are, by merit of your presence, helping you do it.]

General OOC Notes:
+ This is a catch-all post for any interactions that take place during the in-game period I indicated. Make sure to label your subject lines accordingly!
+ You're all staying at close to the Wolf's Ward, which is the wing devoted to the Blade King and the Wolfborn.
+ You're free to move around until about 7 PM. You have free run of the base.
+ You can, regardless of whether you have a license with Zangyaku or not, join in on minor routine engagements like patrol, or helping out at any of the divisions.
+ There is a free teleport back to Falner. You can go any time, as long as you're back before call time for the vigil with Ginko Takasugi-Vice from 8 PM until 4 AM.

General behavior of significant NPCs in the area:
+ Kasumi is your host, and effectively the officer in command for this leg of the operation.
+ Hikaru is generally NOT around during the day. He only turns up around dinner time to eat with everyone, take a temperature check on his end, and then immerse himself in his own work.
+ NPCs that have been fielded out to watch over David Young and Minato Arisato are available on call.
+ Other NPCs may be available on request. Just ping me?

[ ...Yeah, Kasumi would read into that. ]

Everyone is worried about Jessiah Vice, but this one is... [ Yulia can't even finish that sentence; she just has this most annoyed look on her face. ]

Perhaps there is more weighing on his mind than the Hanged Man's disappearance. Have you tried reasoning with him?

I have. Whatever it is, he doesn't want to tell anyone.

[ It's frustrating. So. Very. Frustrating. ]

[And filing that information away for future reference.]

Perhaps he is not even aware of the precise reasons why he is bothered. Give him time? [Then, a smile.] At least until he starts becoming self-destructive.

[Because at that point, bricks to heads were in order.]

I have been giving him time. But my patience can only run for so long. [ At least she has enough self control not to rip his throat off after the first two, three days. ]

Ah. Such as it is with anyone who cares for another.

[Nodding in understanding. She knows that feel, girl.]

[ She huffs, in agreement. Why are men such stubborn idiots? :T ]

I was hoping to entertain you, actually, and pass away some of the time that I have to myself in pleasant company. Do you play Go?

[ She probably... should not decline, even if she thinks Kasumi shiuldn't be offering to entertain her. It should at least be the other way around, right? ]

I do not, actually. What kind of game is it?

Come. We can play, and I can explain as we go along.

[Turning and gesturing now, with one hand towards the nearest sitting room.]

Alright.

[ It's something to do, at least. She'll follow Kasumi to the sitting room and pay attention to her while she teaches the basics of Go. It's a simple enough game, a little like Othello and checkers combined. Of course, with Kasumi's experience on the game, Yulia doesn't quite beat her at it... yet. But she's getting the hang of it, at least. ]

[And on Kasumi's end, she's admittedly pleased to see somebody like Yulia Bostova patiently listening to the explanation, and applying herself to it with a suitable amount of dedication. All things in love and war, and all.

After finishing one game, though, she's moving away from the board and lighting up.]

[ And Yulia's still looking down at the board, trying to understand how she lost. It might be useful in the future, this board game. But she looks up at Kasumi when the Kaiser speaks to her. ]

I look forward to the day. On another note, how has your stay in Kibo been so far?

Very good, actually. I am enjoying my stay there, so far. [ Which is very true. ]

Is it not too quiet for your tastes?

[Teasing now. The Philippines is gloriously safe, regardless of whatever some of their brothers and sisters may say. They often knew nothing of the pain of war.]

It is, [ She looks down at the Go board, smiling a bit. ] but I enjoy my company there.

Really?

[A delicate lifting of eyebrows on her end now.]

I admit, I am a bit surprised to hear that, given how you were the last time we were in contact.

[Surprised and pleased. Her smile will tell you as much.]

A lot of things have happened since then. [ A whole lot, considering it's only been two months. ] I'd like to think I've settled in quite well.

It certainly looks like you have.

[Tilting her head curiously.]

Would you mind filling me in on how things have been for you and the Hounds? I only hear so much. Of course, you don't need to tell me everything.

[ So, Yulia gives a brief rundown of the things the Hounds have done since around the time of the Myobu meeting: Independence day, Kaz's initiation to Netsach, Jessie's contact, Arcis. ]

And now we're here.

[She's listening intently, and by the end of it, she's chuckling.]

You Hounds are nearly as busy as the three favored blades of my son used to be.

My interactions with them were rather limited until the tail end of 2012, but Hikaru spoke of them often enough, and with great fondness. They had the tendency to fill their time in with as many engagements as possible, major and minor.
