Waking the Dead 2.0 || July 5-11, 2063 || The Wait

[Beautiful as Seigi is and generous as your hosts have been, it is hard to forget why you're here again.
Zangyaku is carrying on as per usual, as if your presence doesn't mean anything. It isn't a dismissal, though: it's an acknowledgment of the work that you must do, and that they are, by merit of your presence, helping you do it.]
General OOC Notes:
+ This is a catch-all post for any interactions that take place during the in-game period I indicated. Make sure to label your subject lines accordingly!
+ You're all staying at close to the Wolf's Ward, which is the wing devoted to the Blade King and the Wolfborn.
+ You're free to move around until about 7 PM. You have free run of the base.
+ You can, regardless of whether you have a license with Zangyaku or not, join in on minor routine engagements like patrol, or helping out at any of the divisions.
+ There is a free teleport back to Falner. You can go any time, as long as you're back before call time for the vigil with Ginko Takasugi-Vice from 8 PM until 4 AM.
General behavior of significant NPCs in the area:
+ Kasumi is your host, and effectively the officer in command for this leg of the operation.
+ Hikaru is generally NOT around during the day. He only turns up around dinner time to eat with everyone, take a temperature check on his end, and then immerse himself in his own work.
+ NPCs that have been fielded out to watch over David Young and Minato Arisato are available on call.
+ Other NPCs may be available on request. Just ping me?

He watches Josh with Yulia now, measuring what the appropriate, diplomatic path would be. Not because he intends to take it, but because he thinks Josh needs something waaaay far to the left of diplomatic. It is always nice to have a peg in the ground to base measurements on.
He decides that, if he had wanted to approach Josh diplomatically, he would have asked Brianna. But since he thinks what Josh needs is a forcible sit-down, he realizes he came to the right person. She is, after all, his second; she is, also, probably his closest friend in the blade.
One thing's for sure: this is going to sting.]
Maybe you could. Maybe only you could. [He turns to her and shrugs.] We've both done some worrying in our time, you and I both know how worry can ignore reason. You look like you want to punch him. Maybe you should.
[A crooked, half-serious smile now.]
At least you'll be doing it for his own good, after all else has failed.

[ But.
There is a but in that statement. She would punch him, but she's giving him time. Too much time, maybe, but it was still time for Josh to do something about... about whatever it is that's obviously bothering him.
She would punch him, but when she does and she knocks him out and they get the ping tonight, he'd be furious (would serve him right, though, but that would be unfair).
She would punch him, but she'd rather Josh pull himself out of this rut he's created for himself.
...although, her patience is running thin.
She looks at Taning and raises an eyebrow at his smile. ]
Have you tried reasoning with him?
no subject
[Again, his smile isn't so much playful as it is worried. This is his "but I can't do that and you know it" face.]
If I believed reasoning with him would work, I would have tried. I saw Kaz storming off from talking to him. He didn't look happy. Unless Josh stole Nico, in which case holy shit what, then I've got to assume Kaz tried to reason with him and failed. That's the brother approach, the same one I'd use. May be time for a different one.
[Him joking around just a little is a carefully planted pin to prick Yulia's frustration bubble. While he thinks she really does need to smack some sense into the guy, there's no sense doing so while really angry. Then it would just be about her, not him.
Well, at the very least, some of the frustration would be vented at him, anyway.]
no subject
Useless to talk to him right now.
[ She might have growled when she said that. Might have. ]
no subject
Hmm, so it is, so it is. [Stroking the stubble that passes for his mustache.] You know him best. What do you think should be done? Me, I'm all for feeding him sleeping pills in decaf, but somehow I don't think that'd go over well.
no subject
[ Because violence. ]
no subject
Heh. Heh heh. It's your call, Ms. Blade Leader's Second. As long as it gets done, yeah?
no subject
And I suppose someone has to do it?
[ Here, hold her coffee. There is a beating that needs to take place. ]
fade to white, y?
Man, Joshua, he loves you, but uh... Yulia loves you too. For better or worse.
He calls after Yulia.]
Remember, we love him, we don't actually want to murder him!
