Waking the Dead 2.0 || May 18, 2063 || The Mandatory Hot Springs Episode

[The skies are clear, the air is cool, and overall? Conditions are perfect for spending the entire afternoon and maybe even the entire night at the hot springs within Seigi. It's open to Zangyaku operatives and their families, along with any of their guests.

Oh, they're also communal. Surely no one minds? It's just skin, after all.

You're allowed to smoke, drink and eat while you're chilling out in the pools. You can also play cards, have a round (or several) of ping pong, flop around... anything goes, as long as you don't kill anybody!]

+ Make your own threads, plot out your own shenanigans and whatever else. Just remember: War Hounds and the rest were probably invited there after lunch, and are more than welcome to spend the rest of the day there. Y'all might want to specify the time. :3

[ She blinks, a little surprised at the invitation. But she nods and moves closer, holding on to the towel that covered her. ]

[Leaning back now, looking perfectly at ease with being in a place like this. She had been the same earlier, with men and women coming around to join her.]

Tonight is a good night for something like this, don't you think?

Mm, [ she nods ] it's very relaxing here.

[ She tries mimicking Kasumi, being so at ease in the springs, but all she manages to do is sink a little further down in the water. ]

[And while Kasumi notices, she isn't saying anything. Comfort and mental well-being is paramount.]

Da, Japan-- Seigi is very beautiful. I like the place, and Shin Yamatai also.

You were able to go around Tokyo and Shin Yamatai, correct? There is much to see between those two places alone. The rest of Japan has a lot to offer as well.

Not much of Tokyo, but we went around Shin Yamatai. It would be nice to visit more places, but... There is always another time.

Ah... [ Her cheeks are pink, but it isn't because of the hot springs. ]

[This girl is endearingly simple. Also good-hearted, and concerned for her son.

Have you thought about the division that you wish to join now that you are with us?

I had thought of the Senshi, but... [ No use in hiding it, right? And Hikaru might have already said something about it to Kasumi, after their conversation a few days ago. ]

I am also considering joining the Whisperers. [ Which could prove to be a challenge-- but wasn't that the point? To challenge yourself further? ]

Oh. A good decision.

[Nodding in approval.]

You have the looks, you have the grace, and you have the drive. I would be honored to have you under my command.

[ What looks? What grace? ]

No, the honor would be mine.

And the roles you will pick. Which ones are you considering?

[ She looks down, embarrassed. She'd only made the decision a few days ago, she hasn't really had time to think things through. ]

I do not know yet. I have not had time to really think on it.

[kawaakari]

There is no better time than now. Perhaps I can assist you in that direction.

[bostova]

I... would like that.

[kawaakari]

Hmm.

[Contemplative now, lifting a thoughtful finger to her lips.]

Nami or Gyoseisha. Both seem to suit you beyond fighting.

[bostova]

[ She thinks about that for a moment, head tilted just slightly. ]

I do not think I am Gyoseisha material, though...

[kawaakari]

The battlefield needs its squad leaders, its commanders on the front lines. Handling backroom work may not suit you, but fighting a good war is rarely ever determined on one front alone.

[bostova]

I see myself being more at home as Nami. Gyoseisha would be challenge for me, but... I would take it. Challenge is good.

[kawaakari]

It is, isn't it?

[Smiling again.]

That reminds me: who leads the War Hounds?

[bostova]

[ She tilts her head at the question. She's never... really thought about that. It's been asked once before, and no one had a straight answer (at the time, she and Brigade were the only Sixth Circle hunters, and he had pointed to her). ]

We do not have one, yet. Father Clayce put me in charge of this blade when it was smaller in number, but we have not discussed who would lead it.

[kawaakari]

Perhaps that is something that the lot of you will have to do. You will, at least, need a leader on paper, even if your blade can function very well without someone taking point over everything else.

[bostova]

I will be sure to relay this to my Blade when we gather next.

[ She nods. And it's taken that long, but at least she's relaxed now. ]
