Waking the Dead 2.0 || May 18, 2063 || The Mandatory Hot Springs Episode

[The skies are clear, the air is cool, and overall? Conditions are perfect for spending the entire afternoon and maybe even the entire night at the hot springs within Seigi. It's open to Zangyaku operatives and their families, along with any of their guests.

Oh, they're also communal. Surely no one minds? It's just skin, after all.

You're allowed to smoke, drink and eat while you're chilling out in the pools. You can also play cards, have a round (or several) of ping pong, flop around... anything goes, as long as you don't kill anybody!]



OOC Notes:
+ Make your own threads, plot out your own shenanigans and whatever else. Just remember: War Hounds and the rest were probably invited there after lunch, and are more than welcome to spend the rest of the day there. Y'all might want to specify the time. :3
+ NPCs are available on call beyond the threads I set up in here (if I end up setting some up, anyway)! Lemme know if you have questions.

[So An'yu kind of has one pool all to himself for a good reason: he's with Sadaharu.

Not Sadaharu, Big Version. Sadaharu, semi-portable. That still covers half the ring of the pool.

He's a big, friendly Pandoran dragon, okay. He also happens to have his head plopped on his claws, and appears to be taking a nap. As for An'yu, he's lounging around in the pool, arm over the edge, smoking, enjoying his sake, keeping his head against the big lug's body.

[Kidlat Tahimik flies/ambles over to where Sadaharu is. He lands in front of him and shoots him a quizzical look.]

[Sadaharu, on the other hand, is cracking one semi-irritated eye opening and huffing out of the side of his mouth.

An'yu chuckles, and pats his old friend on the scales.]

Yes he is. Hello, little dragon.

Hello sir! I seem to have lost my human. Are you his [Motions over to Sadaharu.] human?

How did he get to be so big? Will I be that big someday?

Yes, I'm his human for now. [Smiling at Sadaharu, who is rumbling in disapproval.

And I'm not sure. The dragons of Awakened tend to stay small unless they get very old and very powerful.

[AND NOW have a horrified Taning, who has just come from speaking to Setsuna and spotted Kidlat with Anyu and Sadaharu. Who looks like he wants to DEVOUR Kidlat. He scurries over.]

Goddammit Kidlat what have you been doing? I am so sorry, Oyama-san, Sadaharu, has this guy been bothering you?

[Have a LOOK, Taning, from Sadaharu. An'yu, though, is laughing in earnest.]

[Kidlat is now back in his proper place: perched on his shoulder, looking a bit miffed. "What did I do???" says that look.]

I'm sorry, this dragon has little sense of propriety. I swear, I get busy for a minute...

Oh, I've been meaning to speak with you for a while, sir. Mind if I join you?

[He slides a carefully neutral glance at Sadaharu as he says this.

[Sadaharu is now giving you a look of well, now that you have your pet under control, I can do my own shit now before settling back down.]

[Slides into the bath with Anyu, shooting one last apologetic glance at Sadaharu.]

I'm sorry to be bothering you with shop talk at a time like this, but... how does one even begin to fight using two swords? I've seen you in action; your swords flow like they have minds of their own. Is that just something that comes naturally to you, or...

[He trails off there. Taning being Taning, no sense of elliptical approach.]

[Sadaharu looks about as pleased at this prospect as An'yu does: the dragon is shifting his head now, eyes attentive, focused on Brig and on Gintoki the Shield.]

How are you finding the onsen?

Like everything else in Seigi, sir. It's beautiful. [ Brigade puts Gintoki down into the water and allows himself to take a dip as well ] It's been refreshing, in a non-combat sort of way.

Things have been relatively exciting. As well as pleasant. [ Brig himself is surprised that he's been enjoying this vacation. It's something new to him, really. ]

Although, I am surprised that you don't mind how this onsen is communal. Places like this usually aren't.

It's my first time ever in a hot spring, Sensei. I don't really know how they are generally. I just assumed that this was perfectly normal. [ Brigade really has never even read up on onsens. That it's a non-combat engagement, he didn't bother looking it up on Vicenet either. ] They aren't supposed to be public? I'm guessing men and women are supposed to have separate springs like lavatories?

There are public onsens, and they are always segregated. For decency, as they say.

[Not that An'yu really cares... he would have before. Now Asuna was sure to kill him if he so much as glanced in another woman's direction in a place like this.]

I mean, Zangyaku operatives are disciplined enough not to do anything stupid and undesirable like most non-soldier individuals are prone to do. [ Brigade has a sudden image in his head of people just suddenly doing it in the open. It shows on his face. ] I hope you mean they get a room, sir. It'd be... awkward, if it were just suddenly in public.

[ Brig is slightly scandalized but he doesn't show it. Skin and public displays of affection are all right. But public sex is foreign to his sensibilities, and the strict discipline Hawke imposed on their unit ] I... don't think I would like to see that, sir.
